'Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies': Nexon Said, "Problems Came Up And We're Not GoingTto Pretend They Weren't Frustrating"
"Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies," a free-to-download zombie spin-off from Valve's open beta was released Sept. 23 on Steam. However, it was closed three days after due to some problems.
"Problems came up, and we're not going to pretend they weren't frustrating, but discovering these issues now can help create a smoother launch of Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies," Nexon says. That launch, incidentally, is just over a week away, with the Zombie Apocalypse due to start all over again on October 7. "We prepared lots of rewards for newcomers and welcome back packages for all those who supported us during the OBT," Nexon added.
The free-to-play game is so much alike Nexon's Korean shooter, Counter Strike Online 2 (CS Online 2) but Nexon set a difference between the two games. The information was clarified by Nexon stating that the two are totally different. "Zombies are standalone title and not a Western version of CS Online 2."
"It is in fact a standalone title built separately and featuring a different variety of all-new modes, weapons and character customization options including zombie features. There are also brand new systems in place to reward teamwork and cooperation that will offer a diverse Counter-Strike experience," Nexon said.
Nexon claimed that by combining "Durables," "Blueprints" and game points, a player can obtain guns through the game's crafting system. The components can be accessed freely by just playing the game and through the Cash Shop option.
Gamers will surely enjoy as they are fully loaded with weapons from the original Counter- strike from the beginning of the game. The weapons are considered default and are permanent.
"Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies" (CSN: Z) offers a whole new experience for the players with its new maps, new guns, gameplay modes and new characters. There are more than 60 maps available and more than 20 various modes spanning from PvP and PvE, assorted guns with crafting. There are also new Female characters and zombies.
According to Nexon, there will be constant updates to offer new flavors and experience. "Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies" uses the GoldSrc engine unlike Counter-Strike: Global Offensive that utilizes Source engine. CSN: Z is available in many countries and can be played for free by just creating your own Steam account starting Oct. 7.
