Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 2 premiere air date is September 28 at the 8:30 PM time slot on the FOX channel. The main cast of Andy Sambrano as Detective Jacob "Jake" Peralta, Stephanie Beatriz as Detective Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews as Detective Sergeant Terence "Terry" Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Detective Amy Santiago, Joe Lo Truglio as Detective Charles Boyle,Chelsea Peretti as Administrator Gina Linetti, Dirk Blocker as Detective Third Grade Michael Hitchcock, Joel McKinnon Miller as Detective Norm Scully, and Andre Braugher as Captain Raymond "Ray" Holt, their Commanding Officer, will be seen again when Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 2 premieres this Sunday.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season premiere episode is entitled "Undercover," and according to the IMDB Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode guide: "Jake's undercover FBI operation ends in a successful sting, until he learns one mobster has gotten away. As Jake enlists Charles' help to track him down, Holt tests the squad's patience with practice drills." As revealed by Bustle, it will have as guest stars Kyra Sedgwick who will play nemesis to Captain Holt and Jenny Slate who will portray Bianca, a mob mistress who runs into Jake during his undercover operation. On the upcoming season, Executive Producer David Miner told Bustle, "We're happily on the TV Academy's radar. It takes time to build groundswell with them and we're happy this time around to be considered."
Brooklyn Nine-Nine won two Golden Globe Awards in 2014: one is for the "Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy"award and one is for the "Best Actor - Television Series Musical or Comedy" award for star Andy Sambrano. The show has also been relatively received well by critics, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a score of 88% based on 49 reviews, commenting:"Led by the surprisingly effective pairing of Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a charming, intelligently written take on the cop show format." Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 2 will comprise of 22 episodes.
