The year 2014 has brought revolutionary arrangements for technology update with the numerous releases of tech leaders around the world. So the entry of tablet in customer's life might need proper consideration to which one to go for since market is enriched with lot of tablets around the same price range. Today let's go through a short comparison between two of the mid-range tablet which has arrived this year and they are Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0.
Huawei Company has made a good contest with Samsung regarding the tablet. It is very difficult to fix the winner since there are slight margin of difference between them. Both the devices come with display size of 8-inch with resolution of 800 x 1280. Again the pixel density and colors are also same. The pixel consists of 189ppi density, which stands same for both of them with 16M colors. The display type for Huawei MediaPad is IPS LCD whereas Samsung offers TFT touchscreen display.
Huawei MediaPad M1 has dictated the camera department and Samsung trails them by short margin. Huawei MediaPad M1 offers 5MP rear facing camera with features like autofocus and geo-tagging. The video recording system provides 1080P HD video at 30 fps. The front facing camera is 1MP. On the other hand Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is slightly backdated with 3MP of rear facing camera with geo-tagging and digital zoom features. It supports 720P video recording at 30 fps. The secondary camera resolution is only 1.3MP.
The hardware departments of both of the tablets are moderate. Huawei comes with Hisilicon Kirin 910 chipset with Quad core, 1600 MHz processor. It is powered with 1 GB of RAM. The GPU is Mali-450MP4. On the other side Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with Quad core, 1200 MHz, ARM Cortex -A7 processor along with 1.5 GB of RAM. The storage department winner is Samsung offering 16GB of built in storage system up to 64 GB expendable whereas Huawei offers 8 GB of internal storage along with 32 GB of expandable storage facility. Huawei MediaPad runs on Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat) while Samsung Galaxy Tab lags behind with operating system of backdated Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). The power sector also takes Samsung ahead with Non-removable Li-Po 4800 mAh battery while Huawei MediaPad has Non-removable Li-Po 4450 mAh battery. Both the devices has sim card slot. So cellular connectivity is available. The price for Huawei MediaPad M1 8.0 revolves around $380 while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 costs around $390.
