The Samsung Galaxy Note 4, iPhone 6 Plus and Huawei Ascend G7 are the latest phablets released by their respective manufacturers. These are in fact, the flagship phablets of Samsung, Apple, and Huawei. As such, they all have great features and specs that will try to lure in customers and tech-enthusiasts. Deciding on the best phablet among these great models can be quite difficult; the decision lies in careful perusal of all aspects: specs, features, and price.
Both the Huawei and Samsung devices run on the popular Android operating system (4.4 - KitKat) while the iPhone 6 will run on the apple owned iOS 8.x. Size wise, the Galaxy is the heavier by slight margin at 176g followed by the iPhone 6 plus at 172g and lastly the lighter of them the Huawei Ascend G7. The body material of the iPhone has been set as aluminium while the other two have maintained a plastic finish.
The display of the Note 4 is largest at a wide 5.7 inches and a density of 515 pixels per inch, the Apple and Huawei offerings are equal at 5.5 inches while the iPhone 6 Plus trumps on the Ascend's density of 267 ppi with its 401 ppi density, leaving the galaxy note to chair this section of comparison.
The cameras department has apple at the bottom with a 8mp rear and 1.2mp front set, the ascend follows with a 13mp rear and 5mp front camera while the back camera of the note 4 is a staggering 16 MP and a front facing 3.7 MP. All devices act as camcorders which is good for Skype type video calls, although the experience will depend on the figures given above.
The performance figures of the note 4 lead the group with an 8-core 1.9GHz processor and 3GB ram, followed by the 1.6GHz and 1gb on the apple and lastly a 1.2ghz and 2gb ram on the Huawei gadget; both being based on the 64bit architecture. Storage wars are won by the apple device with a top of 128gb built in storage, followed by the note 4 at a top of 32gb with expansion options while the Huawei has the lower top of 16gb without expansion capability.
How long the battery will last will depend on usage. However, on paper, the iPhone 6 plus will last the longest with a standby time of 16 days and a 24 hour talk time. Battery stands at 3000mAh for the Huawei Ascend G7 and 3220mAh for the Note 4. The asking price of the Apple iPhone 6 Plus has been tagged at $900 starting price while the other two were to be announced at the time of publishing this article.
