Ghostbuster 3 Movie will Begin Filming in Early 2015; All Female Ghostbusters Team a Possibility

Talks of having a Ghostbusters 3 movie follow up have been in and out of circulation for nearly a decade now. A lot of fans have been clamouring for the next installment of the Ghostbusters franchise that die hard fanatics have come up with their very own fan-made Ghostbusters 3 trailer which they posted on video sharing sites. Well for fans of this cult classic film, it is confirmed that filming will begin in early 2015. However, a Ghostbusters 3 release date is yet to be determined.

Sony and Columbia pictures have been working hard to get the Ghostbusters 3 full movie into a reality after the first Ghostbusters movie was shown in theatres 30 years ago. With the lackluster performance of the sequel in 1988, director Ivan Reitman decided to step down from the director's helm and instead focused on producing the much anticipated Ghostbusters 3. After Chris Miller, Phil Lord and Ruben Fleischer turned down the opportunity, the role of director now goes to Paul Feig.

Paul Feig is well known for directing successful comedies that have female lead characters such as 'Bridesmaids' and 'The Heat'. It is not surprising that there are speculations that the Ghostbusters 30th anniversary comeback film will have an all female cast. Bill Murray who played Peter Venkman in the previous two movies said that he would like very much to see Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Emma Stone among the lead Ghostbusters 3 cast since according to him, "these women are so funny!".

It is not certain though if Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and the rest of the original cast will be featured in the third installment. We will definitely find out once the official Ghostbusters 3 trailer is released.
