'Titans' Latest News and DC Comics Update: Rumored 'Titans' TV Series Solidifies DC Comics Presence on TV
Another superhero-themed TV series is coming to town.
Some reports claimed that Titans will soon join the ranks of Arrow, Gotham, The Flash, and another rumored show, Supergirl. According to Deadline, "Titans is one of three TNT drama pilots stuck on the runaway, awaiting a formal green light as the network is undergoing a regime change. The other two are Lumen from Amblin TV and the Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay-produced Untitled Cocaine project (formerly Cocaine Cowboys)."
Titans is going to be written by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes. The story will follow a group of young superheroes and will revolve around Dick Grayson better known as Robin. Robin will come out from the shadow of Batman and will become the leader of Titans. He is going to be known as the Nightwing.
Are they planning a solo for Batman? This year they are bringing Titans with the Nightwing without Batman, and Gotham, again, without Batman.
At least, now we know why the producers of Arrow did not agree to the inclusion of Nightwing in the series. Apparently, they have other plans.
It remains to be seen if characters will crossover from one show to another. They have plans to crossover characters from Arrow to The Flash, but no news yet if they are planning to do the same with Titans. Other heroes rumored to join the Titans in its live action television premiere are Raven and Starfire.
We all have to wait for other characters to personify our favorite superheroes in Titans. Akiva Goldsman is the executive producer of the series and he is going to work with Warner Horizon Television. It is rumored that the creators are going to get the "green light" for the project very soon.
