House of Cards Season 3 Spoilers, Reviews, News and Reveals: Plot of the 3rd Season to Feature Larger Geographic View, Perhaps Russia
The third season of House of Cards is currently filming in Maryland where the first and the second seasons were originally shot. In the beginning, the filming of the third season was originally hampered by the state of Maryland itself though the issue was settled few months ago. Kevin Spacey who is better known as Francis Underwood, the president of the United States appeared on the Colbert Report on Comedy Central and he conversed with Colbert in character. Colbert asked him the secret formula to getting things done in his position at which Spacey said, "I firmly believe that a dog doesn't need to show his teeth as long as he has a deep growl, knows where every bone is buried, and his plate is full."
Apparently, Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova have been confirmed for the show as of earlier this month and they have gone public with the fact, but holding back the details. Rick Cleveland, Co-Executive Producer of the show claimed that this will not be like the original British storyline. That means that it will not be the end of the plot. The British storyline also implies that the wife of the master schemer would eventually kill him, but this will not be the case this time. As such Rick also said that the plot will continue in another part of the world. As such, there are hints that the show is going to continue with the foreign relations front.
Apparently, Nadezhda and Maria from the Russian feminist punk rock protest group were on set for the third season of the series currently filming. In this case, this simplifies the reason why the series did not receive the needed permission to film in the official UN headquarters of New York it may be that the show is going to feature America's dealings with Russia, taking into account a hostile Putin and an equally dangerous president Underwood at the helm.
