As the DC is preparing for the shared movie universe there are too many speculations about what would be the role of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson would be? For the past years, The Rock who used to be wrestler now a blockbuster actor was teased about the DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. for a certain comic book character- a role that has not been taken to the screen ever since. Rumors and speculations pointed to different possibilities like Green Lantern- John Stewart, Aquaman that was confirmed to be played by Jason Mamoa, Cyborg by Ray Fisher which will be having a part in the movie Shazam as well as the antagonist Black Adam or the titular hero.
But last month, The Rock started to narrow down the focus particularly the role connected to Shazam like he would be the black Adam or he will either play the titular hero. There were fans said that the actor would just try to spread the misinformation intentionally to surprise his fans because he is set to become the cameo as Green Lantern in the movie Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Right now there is already an official announcement about the role that Johnson would be playing in DC movie universe. After months of great debate, Dwayne Johnson finally clarifies and breaks the news. He claimed that he would be playing the role of Black Adam bringing him back to life!
In connection to the news that Johnson finally confirmed the role is the timeline that leads to the release date of the film which will be either on August 5th 2016 or June 23rd, 2017.
