NCIS New Orleans Latest News: Show's Soundtrack Calls in for a Musical Celebration!

New Orleans is well known for its musical extravaganza - America's hot spot. The state is the birthplace of Jazz, home to Cajun sounds, zydeco, brass bands and a fabulous blues scene. On top of these, blend the sounds of Mardi Gras celebrations, second-line parades, marching bands and street performers and you have got the soundtrack of your life! The NCIS New Orleans soundtrack will feature most of these music.

NCIS New Orleans premiere will be this 23rd of September. It is a spin off to the popular NCIS saga. The NCIS New Orleans cast includes veteran actor Scott Bakula, Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan and C. C. H. Pounder.

The show combines  the elements of the military drama and police procedural genres as what we have always seen with NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles.

The NCIS New Orleans episode 1 starts off with a Congressman that is found murdered in New Orleans, Gibbs and his team join forces with Fornell's FBI team and the local NCIS field. Gibbs reunites with long-time compatriot and friend NCIS Special Agent Dwayne "King" Pride (Scott Bakula). With that, Gibbs and Bishop head to New Orleans while DiNozzo and McGee stay in D.C. to work the case with Fornell. Things soon become personal as the Congressman was a former NCIS agent and their contemporary, and his murder could possibly be linked to one of their old cases. The episode ends with Gibbs, Pride and Agents Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) and Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black) standing in a square while from a hotel room, the unrevealed killer begins taking surveillance photographs of the NCIS team as Gibbs and Pride look on.

NCIS New Orleans air time is set at 9PM ET on CBS and will be premiered on September 23, 2014.
