'Despicable Me 3' : Release Date Already Set and Spoiler Available for the Minions Fans
It is undeniable that the Despicable Me franchise has been roping in big amounts of money for their production studio, the Universal studios. Their first film was able to earn $543 million worldwide. The second movie on the other hand earned a whooping $935 million worldwide. Those two amounts are pretty big and it suggests that the fan base of the movie franchise is rapidly growing.
Never mind that it was positively reviewed by almost all movie critics, the point is, it is making money and the producers are set to make more. So in a non-shocking news, Despicable Me 3 has been announced and the release date is set to be on June 30, 2017. It's still a long wait but I'm sure that it is worth waiting. No spoilers were leaked just yet.
In the mean time, a lot of people are assuming that a spinoff from the Despicable Me series, the Minions, is actually the Despicable Me 3. Well it is not because it is a spinoff. The Minions movie is actually like a prequel to the Despicable Me series.
The story will revolve around the origins and history of the minions before they became the trusted workers of the former super-villain, Gru. The movie is said to be set on the '60s when the minions were still isolated and lived in the Arctic. They will eventually leave there and encounter different kinds of people and/or animals that they will serve.
Apparently, after serving as henchmen for several people, they have decided to set their sights on becoming the henchman of a super-villain named Scarlet Overkill who will be voiced by Sandra Bullock. And that is pretty much the exciting plot of the Minions movie. It will be shown in theaters on the summer of 2015. Since it will be released earlier than the Despicable Me 3, the Minions movie is a good offering for Despicable Me franchise fans who can't get enough of the movies.
