The Minecraft game is a game that has received the welcome reception that it deserves when the PC version was released. It is an amazing game by all means and it is a game that certainly gamers are waiting for since its Xbox One and PS4 versions are not yet out but anyone would know what to expect by now, especially because the PC version is already out. The PS4 and Xbox One version will be out soon but nobody has bothered to mention about the other forgotten platform, the Wii U and the chances of seeing the Minecraft game on the Wii U platform are very slim.

Minecraft Creator Notch denied rumours that the game was coming to the Wii U. Many could argue that that's the developer's decision. However, recent reports from the developers of the Minecraft game are not very good as far as the release of the game on the Wii U platform is concerned. The 4J Studios who are the ones developing the game on the PS4 and Xbox One platform basically pointed to the fact that the Wii U is not exactly a popular or famous platform and so they wouldn't be releasing the game on that platform. He pegged the decision on whether the user base is big enough and thus how much it would take to have to release the game on a platform.

"With the release of PS3 and Xbox One I think we have fulfilled most of the needs for now. There aren't many platforms left to release on. We'll see, whatever makes sense and if the platform has the user base for it. We won't release on the platform if the base is very small because it's much too big of an effort," 4J Studio's Daniel Kaplan said in a recent interview with TotalXbox.

It is therefore now quite evident on which platforms the game will be release and on which it will not. The Wii U clearly does not have such a huge user base compared to the Xbox and the PS4 and therefore, it is most expected that the Minecraft game will not be released on this platform.
