Nokia Lumia 730 latest news: Finland's pioneering mobile phone company, Nokia, is set to release its flagship smartphone months after it was acquired by tech giant Microsoft.  News reports have confirmed that the highly awaited Nokia Lumia 730 release date is set for September 4.

September is a busy month for gadget releases. The Nokia Lumia 730 release date comes a day after Samsung Galaxy Note 4's launch.

Nokia Lumia 730 specs have surfaced online long before its launch date. Nicknames as the "selfie phone," Nokia Lumia 730 has a 5MP front-facing camera ideal for users who are fond of taking "selfie" shots or self portraits.

Nokia Lumia 730 would also have a 4.7 inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display, a Snapdragon 400 processor, and 1GB of RAM. Its dual-SIM support will enable users to connect to more networks while 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE connectivity will make browsing easier and faster.

An external SD card slot will make room for more photos, videos, and other content while its 20MP Carl Zeiss pure view camera is great for taking high-quality photos while on the move.

Rounding up its basic features are standard Bluetooth and NFC technology capabilities, and an FM radio. Nokia Lumia 730 is poised to be one of the smartphones to look out for this year, but will it bring back Nokia's former glory and turn it into a household name at par with Apple and Samsung?
