Katy Perry and the rapper Riff Raff pulled off the ultimate throwback when they channeled Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2014 MTV VMAs on Sunday. The two recently collaborated on Katy Perry's hit 'This is How We Do.' Since the 'California Girl' is officially single, they both decided to pair up for the MTV's big night.

It is rumored that Katy Perry and Riff Raff are more than just friends and they are said to be dating. The rapper, Riff Raff put his arm around Perry throughout the night as they talked and laughed together. You have 24 hours to make your best impression" and Katy responded, "@britneyspears I'll show you my best impression on the red carpet at the VMA's tomorrow...wait for it bb."

Katy received the first award of the night for the Best Female Video for "Dark Horse," which she accepted with rapper Juicy J. Katy Perry, Riff Raff, Miley Cyrus, Juicy J and Sam Smith sat together during the show and it was evident that they were having a good time. The MTV music video awards did not disappoint the fans with wardrobe malfunctions, surprising star behavior and amazing performances. As a matter of fact, Katy Perry ultimately admitted to the fans that her outfit was "a result of my love for nostalgia and my tumblr addiction."
