Evolve Release Date, Reveals, Reviews and Plot: Beta Version to be Released Soon and Turtle Rock to Deal with Balance Issues Within the Game
The left 4 dead developers Turtle Rock have pushed the release date for the upcoming first person shooter game to February 10th next year. The five-player asymmetrical shooter game is consistent of teams where four players facing off against a monster. The interesting bit is that both teams are controlled by players. That would mean that someone can choose the roles that they want to play against the other team, either as part of the four hunters or as the monster. The developers will release a beta version of the game on X Box One exclusively and it will receive DLC earlier than it will be released on the PS4 and PC versions.
According to the developers, the main reason for the delay was twofold. First and foremost, the earlier release would have placed the game release in quite a competitive period which would have seen the release of Assasin's Creed: Unity, Borderlands by 2K and Alien: Isolation. The revised release date places the game in better terms as concerns a favorable market window. The game got a lot of praise at the E3 conference this year and it got a lot of awards including 'Best of Show' E3 Game Critics Award. It also garnered the Best Action Game, Best Online Multiplayer as well as the Best Console Game. The plot of the story takes place sometime in the future and features humanity colonizing planets. The aliens that object to the occupation, set the monsters which are illustrated in the game against the humans. The humans then deploy trained warriors to neutralize any and all threats.
The monsters and players fall into different categories themselves where the player gets to choose what they want to be and this obviously comes available with different weapons access and abilities. As for the development issues it seems that Turtle Rock has a ways to go. As of yet, we have found that the game is fun to play, but there are a number of balance issues that come into play. For example, how the hunter fares against the monster in a solo match? Does she or he add adequately to the team? How strong is the monster at the basic and advanced levels of evolution?
