Evolve Release Date, Plot and Review: Game Release Delayed to February Next Year for Reasons of Favorable Release Window
The release date for Evolve has been slated for February 10th 2015 according to the latest reports from the developer Turtle Rock. Evolve is a game which is based on a context where four shooters or humans hunt down a monster which also happens to be controlled by a player who is working on eliminating them as well therefore, both categories of combatants will be players. The project was taken on by the development team after they shelved Left 4 Dead 3 until further notice. The game which was actually slated to come out on 21st October this year will release an early beta version which will only be available on X Box One where it will get the DLC earlier than on the PC and PS4.
The game was quite a hit at the recent E3 events where it managed to garner the Best of Show' E3 Game Critics Award. Actually the game got four awards at the E3 events including the Best Console game, best online multiplayer game and the best action game, not forgetting the aforementioned award. These were given by a select group of game journalists that headed most noted game publications. According to President Karl Slatoff, in a conference call with investors the game was deliberately delayed for strategic as well as precautionary options.
For one, they had taken time off doing the left 4 dead 3 project which would have also gotten acclaim, but Rock Turtle decided to innovate. Therefore, it would be prudent to make sure everything is perfect at the time of release in terms of development kinks and game design. The other thing is that the new release date would be a favorable release window. Had the game been released on the original date, it would have gone head to head with the likes of Assassin's Creed Unity, Alien: Isolation and Borderlands. This would have created unwanted competition and lowered the intensity of the needed spotlight.
