Anna Golden Teams Up with Hillsong Y&F's Aodhan King on "Because of You"
Anna Golden has teamed up with Hillsong Y&F's Aodhan King for her new single "Because of You." On the swelling anthem, Golden encourages listeners who are hurting to reframe their perspective on life, let go of their fears and find joy in the small things.
Golden's pure, melodic voice carries "Because Of You," which she wrote alongside Benjamin "Bede" Korporaal and Aodhan King. The track begins with Golden singing over an arpeggiated piano and a finger-picked guitar, rediscovering the beauty of life, leaning on her beliefs and living with a new purpose of serving something bigger than herself.
"'Because Of You' is such a heartache to me, this romantic moment where we say to God, 'I just want to love you,'" says Golden. "It's a reminder that even though life holds such uncertainty, he still gives us hope for a new horizon and peace in the midst of chaos. This song pulls inspiration from the old hymn 'Because He Lives,' a modern take on the beautiful message, 'Life is worth the living, just because He lives."
"Because Of You" is the second single from Golden's forthcoming live album 'Church,' (out 8.11), following the uproarious "At The Altar." Across the record's 11 tracks, the vocal powerhouse gives a testimony to the power of faith and refuses to let painful experiences define her life.
Golden grew up in St. Louis, MO watching her parents write songs and lead worship. After a short stint in show business, she decided to follow in her parents' footsteps and channel her time and effort into full-time ministry. She released "Take Me There," which reached the Top 5 of the iTunes Christian Charts, at age 19. Shortly after, she was connected with GRAMMY-winner Tasha Cobbs Leonard, who invited her to sing on her 2017 album 'Heart. Passion. Pursuit' and later chose Golden as the debut signing to her label TeeLee Records.
