Housefires Team Up with Chandler Moore and DOE for "Only Jesus"
Housefires release their new single, "Only Jesus" a brand new track taken from their upcoming album How to Start a Housefire, which is available now for pre-order. "Only Jesus," which features Chandler Moore, DOE and Kirby Kaple, reminds listeners that the material things which many people consider important can be taken away as long as there is access to Jesus. The song was written by Kirby Kaple, Mariah Adigun, Montel Moore & Nate Moore.
"This song is a continual reminder as well as a re-declaration of our devotion to Jesus. Whether we find ourselves in seasons of monotony, perplexity or difficulty, we would rather have Jesus than anything that life could offer without Him. #OnlyJesus is about coming back to the simplicity of our yes to Jesus even when it's inconvenient or arduous."
The band continues, "#OnlyJesus is a prayer, a promise, a reminder, and a declaration... No turning back."
Known for rewriting the worship landscape of America, Housefires creates a God-inspired moment by using limited instrumentation and an unrefined sound to deliver the song's intensity and passion. The album, How To Start a Housefire strips away the veneer and illusion of "success and fame" within the music industry and reminds listeners of the mission of the collective. Housefires continues to showcase their raw and unrefined sound that's free of the safety and restraints that a typical studio project offers.
Housefires originated at Grace Midtown Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The collective has released seven live albums since their self-titled debut in 2014. Housefires continues to embrace a more unrefined sound free of the safety and restraints that a normal studio and even live recording set often offers. Since the unprecedented success of Housefires' launch, the group has continued its mission of writing and releasing songs and sounds that are birthed from what God is doing in their midst as a collective.
