Lauren Daigle Celebrates the Success of "You Say" Four Years Later
GRAMMY Award winner and multi-platinum recording artist Lauren Daigle celebrates the fourth anniversary of her single "You Say." Four years ago, Daigle released the song, which is the lead single from her third studio album, Look Up Child.
Daigle reflects, "I can't believe it has been 4 years since I released 'You Say' and it just went 5x PLATINUM!!! Thank you to every single one of you who has listened to & embraced this song."
"I knew this would be a song of my identity," she says. "'You say I am loved.' That's the truth." As for the album, Daigle says, "I want this to be such a record of joy, such a record of hope, that people experience a childlikeness again. In the time of making this record, I had to remember who I was as a child. I want people to reflect on, 'The innocence of my childhood ... how do I see myself through those eyes again? How do I love myself like that again? Where's that joy? Where's that hope?'"
"You Say," which has gone on to earn her a GRAMMY and triple platinum certification as well as a Billboard Music Award and an American Music Award. It has become the longest-running No. 1 song on the weekly Hot Christian Songs Chart at 93 weeks. The crossover hit also spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary Chart, appeared in the Top 20 on Billboard's Top 40 chart, and Top 5 on their Hot AC Chart.
