Gas Street Music Points Us to Jesus with New EP
UK-based worship collective Gas Street Music is releasing their brand new Integrity Music EP This is Jesus this Friday (Oct. 29). Featuring 4 new songs, Gas Street Music hopes these songs will point us to Jesus Christ. Inspired by the words of the Apostle Paul to the church in Corinth, the team hopes that we will also say with the Apostle,"For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:2.
They write, "The hope of the world is not to be found in great new songs, eloquent words, impressive organisations and events. The hope of the world is found in a person and his name is Jesus. At a time of chaos, darkness and uncertainty Gas Street Music inspire us to be bold in declaring the truth of who Jesus is. The God who walks with us, weeps with us and speaks to us. The one who bled and died for us. The resurrected Christ who now rules and reigns over us. This is Jesus! And what power there is in his name. What life is unleashed when we sing of what his done. What freedom comes when we respond to who he is. For there is no higher name. This Is Jesus!"
One King so worthy, this is Jesus
The hope of glory, this is Jesus
There's no higher name
No higher name
Gas Street Music is the sound of Gas Street Church in Birmingham, UK; a community with a deep desire to worship God and see His Kingdom come. They believe every area of life should be woven in worship, leading people wholeheartedly into an encounter with Jesus.
With worship leaders and songwriters such as Tim Hughes, Luke & Anna Hellebronth, Nick Herbert, Michael Shannon and Millie Tilby, as well as new voices, Gas Street Music collectively continues the legacy of writing and leading songs that fuel personal devotion and gathered expression. Their new music is being birthed out of the rich diversity of the church community.
Building on the foundations of Worship Central, a global movement to train and resource the Church, Gas Street Music are entering a new season. Sensing the time was right, they are beginning to unlock their heart cry, and are creating space for their community and city to be filled with songs and sounds of life.
