Meredith Andrews Shares the Story Behind Her Duet with Seth Condrey
Meredith Andrews will be releasing her first her first all-Spanish album, Ábrenos Los Cieloson May 21st. One of the highlights from the new record is Andrews' duet with Seth Condrey. Condrey is a GMA Dove Award-winning artist and a worship leader at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. He has released four Latin Albums himself.
Together, Andrews and Condrey recorded the title track "Ábrenos Los Cieloson." The title translated into English means "Open Up The Heavens." The song, which was first recorded by Vertical Worship, expresses our longing to see God work in our lives. Andrews talks about the story behind this song. "This song is so special to me and I couldn't have been more excited to record it in Spanish. This song is a heart cry to the Lord to show us His presence and show us His glory. It's saying - You're welcome here, You're the reason we're here, You're the reason we're singing, so open up the heavens and show us You're presence."
It has always been Andrews' dream to record a Spanish album in an effort to reach the ends of the earth for Christ. "It has always been a dream of mine to record a Spanish album," shares Andrews. "I've had a passion for Central & Latin America all of my life and had the blessing of doing ministry, serving, and leading worship in many countries where Spanish is spoken. God's heart is for the nations - every tribe and every tongue - and I'm honored to release this collection of songs."
