Faith-based musical, A Week Away, which was filmed in Nashville is set to land on Netflix on March 26th. The film features many landmark scenes in Nashville and was filmed at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan.
A Week Away stars Bailee Madison (The Good Witch, Bridge to Terabithia) who also produced the film, Kevin Quinn (Bunk'd, Adventures in Babysitting), Sherri Shepherd (Brian Banks, Ride Along 2, The View) and David Koechner (Anchorman, The Goldbergs, American Dad). The uplifting and inspirational family film includes music/dance, drama and comedy. The story centers on troubled teen Will Hawkins (Quinn) who has a run-in with the law that puts him at an important crossroad: go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp. Concerned he won't fit in, he isn't honest to his peers about who he really is.... but through his time at camp, Will opens his heart to God, discovers love with a camp regular (Bailee Madison), and sense of belonging in the last place he expected to find it. The film features re-imagined versions of some of the most well-known contemporary Christian music, such as a "Place in This World," "Baby, Baby," "The Great Adventure" as well as new music.
