Charlie Peacock's "Skin and Wind" Arrives Jan 15
GRAMMY Award-winning record producer, Charlie Peacock, is set to release his new, highly-anticipated, 14th career vocal studio album, Skin and Wind, due out this Friday, January 15, 2021. Peacock is considered amongst the top names in terms of his career impact on the music industry, and his new album sings a message of faith, hope, and love.
"The metaphor of wind has been front and center for the poetic mind since the spark of time and human reflection," shares Charlie Peacock about the theme behind the title of his album Skin and Wind. "And then there is skin-a sheath of magic holding us together; skin as the beloved community. The faith-forming mystery of Emmanuel is that He is the God of skin. Put skin together with wind, and all manner of Spirit, mystery, and motion come clean. And if you dare feel it, in part or total, there is a mind bend on offer."
This 10-track project is turning the heads of music critics. Dave Trout from UTR Media shares: "Skin and Wind shines-a true musical ray of light at a time when we desperately need it." Larry Stephan from The Phantom Tollbooth suggests: "Charlie Peacock is a songwriting tour de force, with every song on Skin and Wind pushing back against the darkness and calling to the listener to a place of hope."
On Skin and Wind, Peacock surrounds himself with some of the most-respected artists in Nashville, including engineering, mixing, and mastering from long-time collaborator Richie Biggs [Jon Foreman, Joy Williams, Steven Curtis Chapman]. Other world-class musicians, like Jeff Taylor, Jerry McPherson, Ruby Amanfu, and 2021 GRAMMY nominee Sam Ashworth (who is Charlie's son) also contribute their talents to the project.
All songs on Skin and Wind are written and produced by Peacock. The new album will release on all streaming and digital music platforms on January 15, and that same day limited run of physical CDs will be available at www.charliepeacock.com.
