Scott and Christina MacIntyre Announce the Birth of Daughter Stella Christina MacIntyre
Scott and Chrisina MacIntyre have welcomed a new addition to their family, with the birth of their daughter Stella Christina MacIntyre. She was born August 18th at 6:27pm, which was her original due date, and is also the date of Scott and Christina's 9th wedding anniversary. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 21 inches. The birth is especially meaningful to Scott and Christina, as they were unable to have kids prior to Scott's second kidney transplant.
"When Scott's kidney donor gave him the gift of life, she also allowed us to create new life," said Scott's wife, Christina. "It's been an extra special blessing for us to welcome our son, Christian, into the world and now our daughter, Stella."
In May 2020, the excited parents decided to let their 3-year-old son, Christian, do the gender-reveal with a fun-filled piñata. Following Christina's 20-week ultrasound appointment, Scott received a phone call from the doctor's office to inform him of the baby's female gender in order to keep the surprise from Christina.
"As a blind person, I have to admit, I was really nervous stuffing the piñata with pink confetti, not being able to see if there were any stray pieces stuck to the outside," exclaimed Scott jokingly. "I think I took that moment more seriously than singing on American Idol!"
It took mom to help with the breaking of the piñata, but she and Christian were excited to learn that he was going to have a baby sister.
American Idol alumni and two-time kidney transplant recipient Scott MacIntyre, and his wife Christina, launched an international non-profit ministry in 2019, Scott MacIntyre Ministries. The mission is to lead people to faith in Jesus Christ through inspirational music and testimony. Since then, Scott MacIntyre Ministries, based in the couple's hometown of Scottsdale, Ariz., has attracted generous support, enabling the MacIntyre's to travel throughout the U.S. and overseas in support of its mission.
Scott and Christina always appreciate support of their ministry through prayer and financial giving so that more lives can be impacted. Additional information can be found at https://scottmacintyre.com/ministry/.
