Colton Dixon and Wife Welcome Twins

American Idol star and CCM artist Colton Dixon and his wife Annie welcome identical twin daughters Ava Dior Dixon and Athens Elizabeth Dixon on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Ava was born weighing 7 lbs., 1 oz., while her sister Athens weighed in at 5 lbs., 6 oz.

"Everyone meet Athens Elizabeth and Ava Dior Dixon. We are over the moon to experience life with these twin girls," the couple tell PEOPLE.

Colton Dixon quickly became a household name in 2012 when he was voted a fan favorite and made it to the top seven on Season 11 of Fox's hit show AMERICAN IDOL. His career has been on the fast track ever since, now boasting over 100 million streams across all platforms.
