Larry Hinson of "The Original Hinsons" Passes Away
On Wednesday April 22nd, 2020, Larry G. Hinson went to be with the Lord. Larry Hinson is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Southern Gospel Group 'The Original Hinsons,' who wrote and recorded such timeless classics as "The Lighthouse," "Call Me Gone," "That I Could Still Go Free" and many, many more.
With some 23 recording projects to their credit and seven years of weekly appearances on the nation's former number one Christian television program...'The Gospel Singing Jubilee,' Larry Hinson was inducted into the Gospel Music Association's 'Hall of Fame' in 2006 with all the Original Hinsons.
His wife Jana writes: "It's with a broken heart we announce that Larry G. Hinson of the youngest brother of the Original HINSONS has went to be with Jesus. Please continue to pray for us during this sorrowful time."
Larry & Jana have appeared on numerous television programs throughout the years including the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) & Daystar.
Larry Hinson earned his doctoral of theology in 2007 and taught Bible College for nearly six years.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jana Hinson; children, Larry Gene Hinson "Jay", Jr. (Crystal Douglas), Lyndi Hinson Patin (Joseph), and Matthew Hinson (Heather); grandchildren, Chase, Saiah, Grayson, Riley, Madi, Elias, and Mailaina; siblings, Teddi Hinson Knowles, Harold Hinson, Ronny Hinson, and Yvonne Hinson Johnson; and nieces and nephews, Kurtis, Greg, Brian, Eric, Robert, Ricky, Donna, Dwayne, Annette, RoyeAnn, Tammie, Kym, Bo, Shelley, Weston, Amanda.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, The Hinson Family will have a drive thru visitation; Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Crestview Funeral Home from 11am-2pm.
Family will have a private graveside service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Hinson, Matt Hinson, Weston Hinson, Rick Patin, Aaron Roberts, and Robb Tripp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronny Hinson and Terry Bailey.
