Derrick Starks Launches New Label Starks Music Group

Critically acclaimed Dove Award nominated, Stellar Award and multiple BMI Award-winning songwriter and producer Derrick Starks celebrates the official launch of his imprint, Starks Music Group and a partnership with the Nashville based United Alliance Music Group with distribution through The Orchard/Sony Music/New Day.

UAMG CEO, Founder and veteran music industry label executive Paul Wright stated, "Well, here we grow again.  The UAMG family bursts with joy at the addition of Derrick Starks and the Starks Music Group.  Derrick Starks is a music wonder with multiple talents as a singer, songwriter, music director and producer.  For the better part of 2 decades, he has played a huge part in helping to contour and add definition to the American Gospel Songbook. Starks Music Group is mounting an aggressive plan for the release of the hugely anticipated Derrick Starks Family and Friends Choir CD with the first single headed to radio at the dawn of Summer.  SMG will announce additional signings in the coming weeks. Gearing up for the on the go season, Starks will hit the summer convention circuit as well as a return trip overseas as guest clinician for the International School of Gospel Music workshop in  Denmark.
