Hillsong Worship To Release New Album 'There Is More' April 6
Grammy award winning Australian worship team Hillsong Worship is set to release their brand new album There is More. The project is set to drop onn April 6. The title of the album is also the title of the new book by the church's global senior pastor Brian Houston as well as the titular of their US tour highlighting these two projects.
The new album is inspired by Genesis 32. The Bible passage speaks of the story of Jacob wrestling with God through the night. Brooke (Fraser) Ligertwood explains, "On the other side of Jacob's divine encounter was a new name, a new blessing, a new identity and a new way of walking (literally). Will we be a worshipping people who are not content to sleep through the night (spiritually speaking) and wake in the morning unchanged? Like Jacob, will we enter into the wrestle with God, dare to know Him more intimately and be changed in the process? This is the premise for Hillsong Worship's 26th live praise and worship album. The title, "THERE IS MORE", truly is a statement-of-belief more than a record title."
Ligertwood continues, "THERE IS MORE at stake than we dare realise - souls, communities, families, nations on the other side of our wrestle through the night seasons. Our personal freedom is for corporate revival. THERE IS MORE of God and more to God and His love than we can possibly conceive of." With songs such as, "Who You Say I Am", "Be Still", "The Passion" and "New Wine", "THERE IS MORE" strikes the balance of contemplative devotion and powerful declarations of praise for both individuals and congregations alike. The prophetic proclamation that "THERE IS MORE" is certainly a theme of Hillsong Church in 2018. Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston's book and the annual Hillsong Conference carry the same name, "THERE IS MORE".
With more than 20 million career album sales and over 1.5 billion career streams, Australia-based Hillsong Worship has helped shape praise & worship over the last two decades through its catalog of songs that continue to be sung by an estimated 50 million churchgoers worldwide each week. Their award-winning single "What A Beautiful Name" spent nine consecutive weeks at #1 atop the National Christian Audience radio chart and remains the #1 most consumed track in Christian music. Concurrently, the single was named Billboard's No. 1 Hot Christian Song of the Year topping its Hot Christian Songs chart (which blends airplay, streaming and sales data) on Feb. 25, holding strong in the No. 1 position for 34 weeks (through the chart dated Feb. 3, 2018).
