Casting Crowns Release New Video for "Broken Together", Watch Here (VIDEO)
Christian artist Casting Crowns have released their new music video for their song "Broken Together". The video shows the progression over years of a couple trying to stay together through all of life's challenges.
The band describes in more detail the picture that they were hoping to accomplish through this song and video sharing:
"Marriage is tough. We bring a lot of fairytales to the picture when it comes to marriage. We bring them to the altar with us [thinking]: 'This is going to be perfect. We don't have to be apart. We can just wake up together every morning and no one is going to have morning breath. We're not going to have any problems.' And then the problems hit and you don't know where to file those into your picture. . .".
It went on to read, "The idea I'm trying to say is: 'Can you lay down who you thought I was and love the 'me' that is? Can we take this from where we are now and realize that I can't be that person?' Only God is going to be able to make this work and broken people can be broken together."
Casting Crowns just received the 'Artist of the Year' award at last night's second annual K-Love Fan Awards.
The Grammy Award winning band released their latest album, THRIVE, on January 28, 2014. "The songs on THRIVE are an extension of what lead singer/songwriter Mark Hall has been teaching his students at Eagle's Landing First Baptist Church in Atlanta, where he serves as youth pastor. The heart behind the project is for these songs to encourage believers to dig down into the roots of who they are in Christ so that they are fully equipped to reach out and share their faith with others."
They just wrapped up their 'Thrive' Tour that featured special guests Laura Story and current GMA New Artist of the Year for KING & COUNTRY.
