THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH Is Joined By CARRIE UNDERWOOD At Winter Jam In Tulsa, OK
Modern rock favorite THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH band members treated the capacity "Winter Jam" crowd at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK March 9 to a surprise performance when music superstar Carrie Underwood joined them to sing their song, "Let The Sparks Fly." The Active Rock hit single is from TFK's No. 1 selling Billboard Hard Rock album, The End Is Where We Begin.
"Carrie Underwood ladies and gentleman," shouts TFK frontman Trevor McNevan from stage as the crowd erupts in excitement during the performance. Underwood, who played TFK's "Let The Sparks Fly" in her pre-show on her own world tour, later tweets, "Just got to rock the stage with @OfficialTFK in Tulsa! So much fun! Thanks, guys for letting me crash your party!"
THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH is a featured performer at NewSong's Winter Jam 2014 Tour Spectacular, the world's No. 1 first quarter tour for the past three consecutive years based on attendance. Promoted by Premier Productions and presented by Holt International, the tour continues into 11 more major market venues before wrapping up March 30 in Omaha, NE. A complete list of the 48-city Winter Jam tour dates and cities is available at jamtour.com.
Following Winter Jam, TFK will be featured on Monster Energy's Carolina Rebellion (Concord, NC 5/3), Rock On The Range (Columbus, OH 5/16) and Rocklahoma (Pryor, OK 5/23), as well as will headline many major festivals this summer. For all the latest events, go to www.thousandfootkrutch.com.
TFK continues to rack up the accolades for its independently released, 2013 SiriusXM Satellite Radio Octane-nominated "Epic Album of the Year" and Dove Award nominated, The End Is Where We Begin. In addition to hitting the top of the retail charts, landing four Active Rock hits ("Let The Sparks Fly," "War of Change," "Light Up The Sky," "Courtesy Call") and two No. 1's at Christian radio ("War of Change," "Light Up The Sky"), the album has also become the biggest ever selling mainstream album for TFK while racking up over 385,000 single sales. Songs from the album have further been heard on ESPN (NASCAR, NCAA basketball), WWE, EA Sports NHL 2013, the L.A. Kings' (NHL) playoff reel, the 2013-2014 Montreal Canadiens NHL season "pump up" video and have received many other placements, including as an NFL Tennessee Titans "Kickoff" track ("Light Up The Sky").
Receiving over 2,000, 5-star average customer reviews on iTunes® alone for The End Is Where We Begin, TFK has found that sometimes the best way to move forward is to go back to the basics, taking all of the raw energy and emotion of the past and channeling it into the present. For those who've been following the Ontario, Canada-bred players since their formation in 1997, it's been a continuously escalating highlight reel that includes best-selling albums, top Active Rock radio hits (including the aforementioned songs, plus "Fire It Up," "Move" and "Phenomenon"), and a slew of soundtrack slots. In fact, the group has literally infiltrated every facet of pop culture, from ongoing ESPN appearances, to various NASCAR, MLB, NHL, WWE, NCAA and NFL airings (including the 2010 Super Bowl), along with the "GI Joe" movie trailer, WGN-TV's "Smallville" and EA Sports' NHL 2010 and 2013 video games.
