Chris Tomlin tops charts with Burning Lights
Chris Tomlin has been given a generation of churchgoers the words to praise God and his newest album, Burning Lights, offers up yet more beautiful worship songs for the worldwide church.
Burning Lights has shot to the No 1 spot on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Albums Chart and has reached No 2 on the iTunes Overall Albums Chart.
The album is a collection of 12 songs, including the first single "Whom Shall I Fear [God Of Angel Armies]", which has gone down well with critics and fans alike.
With its catchy melody and powerful declaration of God's authority, the song is likely to become another favourite alongside his best known hits like "Holy is the Lord".
The album is produced by Jason Ingram and also includes the radio hit "White Flag", which comes from the live album "Passion: White Flag".
Tomlin collaborates with Kari Jobe on the track, "Crown Him".
"Honoured to be a part of this!" she shared with fans.
The album's success is a great start to 2013 for Tomlin, who is fresh from leading worship before thousands of 18 to 25-year-olds from around the world at the four-day Passion conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
