'Game Of Thrones': Author George R.R. Martin Grilled On 'Late Night With Seth Meyers' And Revealed Some Secrets
"Game of Thrones" author George R.R Martin and Amy Poehler both stopped by at "Late Night with Seth Meyers and both teamed up to quiz Martin regarding his knowledge of his own books.
Poehler and Meyers showed the viewers that even esteemed writer has hard time keeping on track of who said what in his popular fantasy series.
After Martin finished tripping up on Poehler threw him, both took a shot backstage and exchanging newly released books, which include Martin's "The World of Ice and Fire" and Poehler's "Yes Please".
During the show, the game tested the competitive point of both authors. Seth introduced Martin to the game through saying that he wrote those books and he has several characters in the books. After that he said that the author will be tested by determining the characters who said particular phrases.
Based on Daily Mail UK, Amy is ready to go and use a set of cue cards that will voice a line that was spoken by one of the characters and Martin should guess correctly. Martin agreed and the first question is about who said the line that reads "the night is dark and full of terrors". Then, Martin replied Melisandre, the Red Priestess of Asshai, in a confident manner. Amy said he is correct. But, after several questions, the conversations began funny when Martin forgot about the character who said the asked lines. Other than that, there are also some details revealed about the famous fantasy HBO series.
Us Magazine also reported that the hilarious side commentary of Meyers and Poehler made Martin react with laughter and giggles. The three also got into a brief conversation regarding weddings and how difficult it is to send out some invites.
According to Variety, there is still no word from Martin on whether the readers can expect to see Breeze Daniels, the Westeros 9 meteorologist, or Mrs. Puddlefinch, the Winterfell math tutor, in his future books. However, many fans are still looking forward for the masterpiece of Martin as they know that this would also some of the best like the "Game of Thrones".
