When it comes to Apple devices, everyone loves them, but not everyone can afford the latest gadgets released by the brand. There was a time when iPods were a complete musical experience associated with the pop culture, but things started changing after new iPhones were released. With iTunes and tones of storage space, iPod sales declined constantly.

Unfortunately, the sales for this wonder music box have declined over the last eight straight financial quarters. Apple is not selling even the half number of iPods that it was selling a few years back. That's obviously a cause of concern and many believe that Apple will soon discontinue the range. iPod Touch 6th Generation was expected to release this October, but that didn't happen.

However, some of the tech experts believe that Apple will not give up on one of their most successful devices so easily. In fact, according to these analysts that's why Apple has postponed the release date to work on some new features.

Reportedly, Apple wants to launch the new iPod Touch 6G as a complete system for entertainment with bigger screen sizes and larger storage space for music and videos. Though it's difficult to comment on features and specs, it is believed that two screen sizes will be unveiled in the coming months.

As far as the release date is concerned, iPod Touch 6 should come into the market by first three months of 2016. Once Apple launches the Watch models, which will prove critical to Apple Pay's success, the next logical step will be iPod.

If Apple Inc wants to make upcoming model a huge success, they will have to work on options like NFC chip and faster processor. iPod Touch 5 Gen was criticized for the slow A5 processors but things with be different with an A7 if not the all new A8 like in iPhone 6 for better performance. Moreover, a lot of people will like to try Apple Pay but do not want to invest in iPhone 6 or Apple Watch, NFC support in iPod Touch 6 should help dealing with the issues. Bigger screen size with Retina Display will be another advantage.
