Javier Hernandez Real Madrid Transfer News: Chicharito Expects to Move
The last few games that Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez played for Real Madrid showed his spectacular ability in every way. Although he was not exactly struggling at Old Trafford, Chicharito is enjoying his temporary time at La Liga, especially after scoring three goals in the last four games. Of course, the owners and coach Carlo Ancelotti are ecstatic about this kind of performance from a striker who is not Cristiano Ronaldo—but, are they willing to pay the price?
After Real Madrid's Clásico win recently, there is no doubt that Ancelotti is clear in his vision about the team that he is carefully rebuilding with one of the world's greatest strikers, Ronaldo. Now they are in a position to see their way around Barcelona, but only if the offense is right.
But, as is usually the case, the price factor is the overarching issue. Manchester United (MU) is currently going through a tough phase, especially in the area of defense: many competitors now believe that they can penetrate through the once-impenetrable MU line. Facing an inconvenient case of "cash crunch," Van Gaal could use the money from the sale of Chicharito, but is his asking price too much? At £17 million, it is unclear whether Real Madrid is willing to take a chance here, but it is apparent that Ancelotti and the owners are amenable to a deal that closes at around £12 million. Furthermore, Hernandez has also demonstrated his willingness to continue his love of football at Santiago Bernabéu to secure his future.
It is worth noting that Real Madrid is enjoying an impressive run in the current season, with just one point separating them from Barcelona. However, they are certainly capable of covering this gap with some brilliant play. As for the permanence of Chicharito's status within the team, fans will have to wait to see how the negotiations unfold between two of the most respected teams in the world of football.
In other transfer news, MU will be investing some money into the recruitment of new defenders after a horrific performance this season. Names like Ezequiel Marcelo Garay González, Petr Cech and Victor Valdes are emerging in the rumor mill, but it is unclear how Van Gaal will finally invest the club's money. Meanwhile, Cech still wants to leave Chelsea for good, after losing his position as the preferred goalkeeper in the side. He has been playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois, which has led to his dissatisfaction with the club.
