Motorola Droid Turbo Release Date, Updates, Price: Start of Purchase Imminent, Retail Packaging Photos Leaked, New Smartphone Available at $599
Before its rumored release date today, Oct. 28, a reported image of Motorola Droid Turbo has been released in Twitter.
Considered as a sneak peek to the upcoming device, @MotoFirmware reportedly uploaded and posted photos of the Droid Turbo's retail packaging, as Droid-life reported.
The leaked pictures have surfaced in the internet days before the rumored release date of the new Motorola flagship smartphone that will be exclusively available in Verizon. Motorola Droid Turbo, that will be available at $199 locked for two years contract or $599 without contract, has been the subject of several rumors around the web.
In the images posted in Twitter, the handset was shown inside a black box that shares the same color of the smartphone, as reported by GSM Dome. The rumored retail package of Motorola Droid Turbo also contains the wall Turbo charger that is said to be the main feature of the new handset. Droid Turbo's set also includes a 4G SIM, a USB cable, and a quick reference guide.
Motorola Droid Turbo, that will feature tech-advance 5.2-inch Quad HD screen with Kevlar case, will be the newest flagship smartphone from the American company and Verizon's partnership. Its predecessor, Moto G and Moto X, got great reviews from tech-buffs and smartphone consumers. It can also be noted that Motorola is also the co-producer of another high-end handset, Nexus 6 phablet, with Google as its partner.
Verizon and Motorola's Droid Turbo will be powered by the latest 2.65 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 chipset that will be the fastest processor to date. If rumors appear to be true, Droid Turbo will be the second smartphone with the latest processor after Samsung quietly unveiled it new Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus.
Droid Turbo also house Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal memory capacity. Though it is still programmed with the Anroid Kitkat 4.4.4, the new handset is also set for Lollipop 5.0 update soon. In terms of its camera, Droid Turbo has a whopping 21MP main snapper that has dual-LED flash and 2160p video recording quality.
As its main feature, Motorola Droid Turbo is packed with 3900 mAH battery that has 48-hour life capacity. Add up the turbo-charge feature that allows 8-hour use with 15 minutes charging time only.
