'Better Call Saul' Premiere: Expect to see Saul Goodman's Good Old Law Career before He Became Walter White's Attorney
"Lawyers. We're like health insurance. You hope you never need it, but man oh man, not having it? No!" Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) said in the first official teaser of "Better Call Saul" released by AMC. According to the 10 Sec video clip, the spin-off series of "Breaking Bad" is set to air early 2015, but there is still no no specific date yet. That's going to be roughly a 7-months wait after the mother program finale.
For this series, we are expecting to see Saul Goodman's good old law career before he became Walter White's attorney. This super lawyer handles all sorts of lawsuit - parking ticket violation, mass murdering, bank fraud, you name it, he has it.
In line, AMC already renewed "Better Call Saul" ahead of time for a second season.
Since this is a prequel series, everyone is also expecting to see scenes back in the 1980s. However, as Yahoo reported, producer Peter Gould explicitly stated that they will explore every time frame. Indeed, they have "a flexible timeline" and that scenes can be "before "Breaking Bad", during "Breaking Bad" and after "Breaking Bad."
No doubt, "Better Call Saul" already mastered the art of the cliffhanger, from a nonstop rerun of "Breaking Bad" to the release of 2 very teasing teasers for the show, creative writers and creators found another way to keep the people on watch even if the show is still months from now and it involves a music video.
As stated in Zap2it, "Better Call Saul: The Song" features Junior Brown singing an original song written by Gilligan and Gould that gives a few examples of the kinds of crimes you could commit before you call Bob Odenkirk's titular character -- you know, besides creating an international meth empire with the help of your slacker former chemistry student."
The biggest catch on the song was the chorus, which is very entertaining, goes like this, "Saul, Saul, you better call Saul / He'll fight for your rights, when your back's to the wall / He'll stick it to the man, justice for all,"
I should admit, the song was very entertaining, it automatically created a smile on my face. Hopefully the series will have the same effect on me.
