GoPro Hero 4 Has Better Processor; Features Improved Resolution for Black Edition; New Touchscreen Display for Silver Variant
The California-based Corporation has recently unveiled its newest series of action camera. As they are known in creating high definition snappers, tech-geeks and camera enthusiasts have anticipated for a better device. But was GoPro 4 able to deliver or even exceed the consumer's expectation? Let us see.
Master Herald reported that GoPro Hero 4 is dubbed as "a game changer in photography" with its improved specifications and features compared to its predecessor, GoPro 3+. Available in silver and black edition, the portable but high-end action camera has a boost in terms of its screen resolution, processing performance, and touchscreen display.
GoPro Hero 4 features an improved 4K resolution video recording at 30 frames per second rate, for its black variant. This boost allows user, especially the sport and adventurer enthusiasts, to capture high definition videos. The new snapper feature 13MP photo sensor that works with diverse type of lighting. Thus, a sunny day or a dark night would not be a hindrance to action photo shoot.
There is a bit of difference between the camera's resolution. GoPro black variant has 1080 pixels at 120 fps while the silver edition has 720 pixels at 240 fps. On the other hand, the two versions both has the classic connection feature like WiFi, Bluetooth and Protune, Another key upgrade of GoPro 4 is its processor. Both the silver and black edition of the latest flagship camera has an improved processor compared to its predecessor.
If the Black edition has the 4K video resolution, the silver variant is equipped with a new 1.5-inch touch screen located at the back of the camera, Air Herald reported. This additional feature enables GoPro 4 users to "playback their footage right away, without having to transfer it to another device." The touchscreen display also paves the way for a more "straightforward use" and "intuitive swiping."
GoPro Hero 4, both variants, has no dramatic upgrade in terms of battery life although it still allows around two hours of recording. It also remains the camera for the adventure-buffs and adrenaline junkies as the latest snapper is waterproof at up to 40 m. deep. It is also durable that it can withstand high drops.
Users can also easily view their HD outputs in their HC television sets, as reported by Breathecast. GoPro Hero 4 also features an improved audio system "that is two times better" than GoPro Hero 3+. This latest action camera is available at $399 and $499.
With the tough competition now, GoPro should also take time to address some issues like improving their still photos and zooming quality.
