Dead Island 2 News, Reveals, Updated Gameplays and Rumors: Dead Island Differentiated from Dying Light after Yager Takes over Development and Techland Starts on Later Game
The zombie game, Dead Island 2 is the sequel to the 2011 role playing horror survival game, 'Dead Island'. There was also a standalone game created in 2013 called "Dead Island: Riptide". The franchise so far has received fair reviews from critics, with a lot 70 percent average across all platforms including PC, X Box and PlayStation. The game was praised for the overall feel, but the game has also had a fair share of negative criticisms as in Computer as well as Video game comments. For example, the amount of violence that was depicted in the game did not allow for it to be released in Germany.
As the release or the second installment of the game nears closer, the creators explain that Techland which was the initial developer is now creating Dying Light with Warner Bros. According to the official site for 'Dead Island 2', the fans are going to experience the follow up after Dead Island and Escape Dead Island. The game plot is set in sunny California in the aftermath of the zombie outbreak. This is Dead Island as it was always meant to be so to speak. This is an intense romp through the sunshine state with you and your friends in a multiplayer experience. One of the options is to choose an elite crew of heroes who are apparently immune to the zombie virus and are eager to run headfirst into a bloody apocalypse. You will also be able to create virtually thousands of weapons, upgrade the vehicles and of course, hunt for loot.
Dead Island 2 and Dying Light are similar but they are still different in so many ways. As such, Maciej Binkowski of Techland claimed that although the games might be similar, he is not concerned about it backfiring when the games hit the market. He claims, "They're out to create something different: it's Dead Island, it's a different experience. It's all very colorful and I guess kind of goofy. So I think we're pretty safe."
