Things look to be cooking up in Hollywood as most upcoming titles seem to be shifting dates, first it was Hitman: Agent 47 moved forward and now it seems that the upcoming new movie, Independence Day has been moved to make a debut earlier than expected. The upcoming new title Independence day 2 had been schedule for a release date set on 1^st July but now sources reaching International Business Times news claim that it will make a debut a month earlier, that is , in June 2016 not July 2016 as earlier stated, reported Latin Post news.

The movie is expected to be a huge hit in the movie industry though the plot of the movie is still unknown but we know that casting is still ongoing. What makes us certain it will be a hit movie is the fact that Roland Emmerrich is the director of this upcoming movie title and with such a good reputation of producing successful movie titles such as 2012 and the Day After Tomorrow, this will not disappoint for sure. With the movie a year away it has already been confirmed that Bill Pullman will, be part of the cast members of Independence Day 2 and will take up the role of President Thomas J. Whitmore. He takes up the role nearly after a decade now since the last franchise as according to IBN reports, Independence Day One made its debut back in 1996.

In this first instalment, Whitmore played a vital role that saw them take out the aliens in the 1996 movie where he not only organized a worldwide counter attack on the aliens he also personally took on the aliens by piloting an aircraft to charge on the enemy. This counter attack could not have been successful without the help of David Levinson whose role was taken up by Jeff Doldblum who developed a virus to take out the enemy ships. David alongside Captain Steve, played by Will Smith entered the mother ship and planted the virus as well as a nuclear bomb. It is no surprise to see that Jeff Doldblum will feature in the upcoming Independence Day 2.
