Vikings season 3 news and updates: Lothbrok Crowned as the new King of Denmark and Invades Paris!

Vikings season 3 is now in the works. The hit TV franchise has been approved for 10 episodes that will air next year in The History Channel.

Vikings Season 3 plot will dwell on Lothbrok as the new King of Denmark, his invasion of Paris, how he is coping up as the new King and his reunion with this brother.

The cast right now are shooting scenes in Dublin, Ireland and we expect a much better Vikings era as compared to the two previous seasons. Show creator Michael Hirst hinted that, though there are great props for the coming season, CGI effects will still be used especially the raiding of Paris part. It would seem that Lothbrok will lead 100 war ships in the invasion.

Katheryn Winnick who plays Lagertha revealed that there might some beloved characters that will head to death row, but she convinces that it would be a great year, according to Air Herald.

The reunion of Lothbrok and his brother Rollo will be given much exposure and interest. So will the uncle and nephew relationship between Rollo and Bjorn as Rollo gives Bjorn some much needed advice, and they will learn a lot of important things from each other.

Kevin Durand of Lost will join the Vikings season 3 cast as The Wanderer, a mysterious figure. Lothaire Bluteau who plays Charles, will be crowned as the Emperor of France. Morgane Polanski will play Charles daughter, Princess Gisla.
